Our Achievements

Since its first meeting in March 2014

PVP has achieved the following :

We have set up a website

This was a major task for us.  The website is intended to be a “one stop shop” for the
community to use to find information about our villages.

  • We have designed, printed and distributed the Heritage Trail leaflet
  • We organised guided walks around the Heritage Trail

Our Heritage Trail leaflet was the most popular leaflet ever at our own Information Centre in Pevensey Bay, and was also one of the top leaflets at Eastbourne Tourist Information Centre.
Our guided walks lead from the Food Festival were over subscribed, and since then others have
joined the guided walks held on Wednesdays.

  • We held a successful Recipe Competition

All of James

James, Head Chef at The Hydro Hotel judged our competition.  The winner, Lotte, from Pevensey Bay enjoyed lunch at The Hydro when her recipe along with the runners up recipes
were served on the Hydro menu.

  • Started  KIDZ

MAJIK

pev and west school council

We visited Pevensey and Westham and Stone Cross Schools
to involve the younger generation in our project.  Majik was born and stories of dragons were written by the children.

  • We arranged a Dickensian evening

volunteers for dickens

PVP friends formed a committee, and led by Shirley McKinnon they arranged
a successful evening.  The evening, held in Pevensey in December 2014 offered
all kinds of entertainment.
