Any profits over and above the on-going maintenance of the grounds etc would then be pushed back out to local schools & charities to help them in the future.

This model is a win, win for all and there is no reason if successful why this model could not be rolled out across other towns/communities.

PEVENSEY AREA GARDENING CLUB

The club meet at St Wilfrids Hall, Pevensey Bay on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm   This friendly organisation currently has a membership of about 60.  Meetings are very informal, and various speakers address the group throughout the year.Outisde visits include gardens and nurseries, and there are quiz nights and social evenings.  Light refreshments are available at the end of each meeting.
There are shows and competitions throughout the year, and although entering is not compulsory it can be fun.  It is surprising what you can grow in tubs and containers, so even if you only have a balcony you are a welcome member.
Annual membership is only £5, and it is just £1 for members and £2 for guests.  This includes the speaker and tea/coffee and biscuits.

PEVENSEY AND WESTHAM FLOWER CLUB

We meet every Wednesday morning 9am to noon at St Wilfrids Hall , Pevensey Bay. Contact information is secretary Gill Parsons 01323 767615. Membership open to residents of BN24 area and membership fee is £50 although guests are now accepted at £5 per week .
