STONE

CROSS

ROYALS

Stone Cross Royals started on 21st of July 2012 with just 4 kids and now has mixed teams of boys and girls at Under 5s (Foundation), Under 6’s (Year 1), Under 7’s (Year 2), Under 8’s (year 3), Under 9’s (year 4), & Under 10’s (year 5)

We are playing our games at Stone Cross Nurseries, Dittons Road in Stone Cross, Eastbourne where we have access to 2 pitches, The Cafe & of course the parents can also shop at the Garden Centre.

We want to make this club a family club where parents can come along and get involved.  we will be holding feedback forums four times throughout the season where parents will have their chance to put their views across in relation to the direction of the club, what we are doing well and what we can improve on.  Parents will also have a copy of the accounts on a quarterly basis so that you can see how the club is operating.

So that we bond not only on the field but off it we will be looking at holding events throughout the season.  These will include quiz nights, race nights, a presentation night at the end of the season which will include a disco.  We will also be looking at having fun days out for the Children including going to watch football matches, days out to help build the family club that we want to bring to the local community.

We believe we will be a unique set up compared to other teams in Sussex as we are all about bringing the local community together and getting the parents and boys/girls to feel very much part of the club and our long term aim is to grow the club and have teams from Under 6s to Under 16s within the next five years.

Our long term aim is to eventually get some land and apply for funding so that we can develop the site by having some all-weather pitches along with grass pitches & a club house with a hall.

The idea here is that we can then push these facilities out during the day to local schools in the area providing them with the latest facilities in the community; we can also then hire the hall out to other groups during the day and evening for example, Dance Classes, Karate, Weight Loss Groups & Parties.

In the evening we can then hire out the all-weather pitches the idea here is that we are then not only providing the local Schools but also the local communities.
