WHAT ARE THESE BYLAWS?

JUST A FEW SIMPLE RULES OF THUMB, A LITTLE THOUGHT FOR OTHERS, FOR THE WILDLIFE AND FAUNA, FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN, TO KEEP THE BEACH CLEAN AND TIDY

OUR BEACH BY-LAWS – in simple terms

no-vehiclesNo vehicles are allowed on the beach
No quads
No 4 x 4’s
No motorbikes No cars

buoysThe buoys are there to protect swimmers, jet skis, motorised boats, wind and kite surfers.
MUST STAY OUTSIDE THE BUOYS

groynesDo not cause damage to “the groynes” with fire or any other means.

thingPlease think of other beach users when leaving and returning to the beach.

shinglesNever remove shingle from the beach.

faunaLeave the fauna and wildlife to grow and live undisturbed.

rubbishNO RUBBISH – Take yours home

Dogs are very welcome but you MUST clean up after them.

that you need permission from the Environment Agency to erect any structure whatsoever, in, on, over or under the sea defences for 250m inland of high water even when you do not need planning permission!
