Not only Pevensey has scarecrows

Visiting Isfield for a camping weekend – well I needed a rest and escape from scarecrows !  – I came across an all too familiar sight.  Yes – yet another scarecrow !  Not sure if he was a left behind or a sitting there early fella, but there he was sitting on the crossing gate next to the Lavender Line railway station.

Tom starts judging

This years Scarecrow Festival is now in full swing with well over 100 scarecrows in the villages.  This year we are very pleased to welcome Tom Lideard, our East Sussex County Councillor, as our judge.  You can see Tom here standing next to our “big daddy of all onezies”.

WE NEED YOUR OLD BEDDING.

DUVET COVERS AND PILLOWSLIPS

OLD DUVETS AND PILLOWS (NOT FEATHER)

Have you got any old bedding that we can have for a very special project ?

We are getting ready to make a special scarecrow display on Westham Green.  Its a surprise that we are working on with the school.  But we need your help.  Mainly we need your old bedding, but we would love some help too.

Can you cut out and do some simple sewing – and we mean simple !  There is a template and its just cut it out and sew a few straight lines.

If you have any bedding then we can call and collect it.

Please either email scarecrow@pevenseyvillages.org or

Phone 0751135408

Please leave a message to say whether you have something for us to collect or are willing to help

Thank you
