booksPVP support ESCC and accept that over the 18 month period of ESCC’s library revue the only option open to ESCC and the community is to return the library to its present site. PVP will work with ESCC, Wealden District Council and Pevensey Parish Council towards this end.  PVP recognise that accessibility to this site needs to be improved, but that it is neither practical nor possible to address this issue in terms of money being spent and work being carried out until the results of the revue are known.  However PVP see that it would be both useful and productive to prepare for the possibility that ESCC may close the library following the result of the revue, by investigating all possible options, and entering into discussions with PPC and ESCC.

PCDL report Jan 2016

This week sees the final recycling for the moment.  Trucks will be loaded at Cooden for Normans Bay East today and tomorrow, before moving to Normans Bay outfall and supplying Beachlands.  At the end of the week they will end up at Sovereign Harbour where they will try to reinstate the haul road along the beach so that tipper lorries can get closer to the revetment.

Shingle continues to build up against the southern breakwater such that at least two more weeks of bypassing will be required this winter, starting on Monday 1st February.
